So I look out my hotel room window and there is a mural on four story high wall that says welcome to "The Electric City". So riddle me this why is Scranton called the electric city?

Looked up Electric City in Scranton, and found it is a weekly entertainment publication that is published in Scranton. Good Luck! MOM
The answer to the riddle is....
The nation's first successful, continuously-operating electrified streetcar (trolley) system was established in the city in 1886, giving it the nickname "The Electric City".
Sorry, I don't know the answer to the Trivia question, but I thought I'd let you know Rick gave an update to the Ride-N-Dine gang tonight. We ate at the Pine Junction restaurant somewhere east of Findley Lake. We are with you in spirit Brian. Ride safely and take good care of your buddy, Utter. I see he is riding in the trunk - probably a lot more comfortable there. :)
